The school was inspected by the Independent
Schools Inspecorate (ISI) over five days in November 2009. The
full report was published in February 2010. For the report in
full see the link below.
The overall conclusions
capture the spirit of All Hallows and show the school going from
strength to strength. In addition to commenting favourably on
the taught curriculum and highlighting the outstanding teaching,
the inspectorate noted “the outstanding extra-curricular programme
and educational visits as well as the Forest School” which they
recognised as making “a major contribution in enabling pupils
to achieve the educational standards that they do.” They praised
the “effective leadership and the excellent relationships that
exist within the school” as key factors in pupils’ high achievements.
The links the school has with its parents and the community were
also recognised as being of an exceptionally high quality, and
the boarding experience was judged to be ''outstanding".
The Headmaster, Mr Ian Murphy, was clearly
delighted with the outcome of such an intense period of scrutiny:
“We are thoroughly delighted and genuinely
heartened by the Report. It has an overwhelmingly strong and
supportive flavour to it and, quite rightly, has highlighted
the many areas of excellence in our school community. I would
like to record my heartfelt thanks to the children, staff and
to the Governing body for their continuous hard work and commitment,
and to the parents, whose support and enthusiasm for our school
is outstanding – a fact recognised by the ISI team. We continue
to focus on our ongoing development and remain determined to
make All Hallows the very best a prep school can be.”
Mr Patrick Nixon, Chairman of the Governing
Body, was similarly delighted with the outcome of the report
and pledged support for the future:
“The Governors will continue to support Ian
and his team in implementing the recommendations of the report
and in leading the school to even higher standards of excellence
in the future.”

Our provision for boarding and pastoral care was inspected by Ofsted in November 2010 (see below). The school was judged to be outstanding in every category. There were no recommendations for improvement.
However we've already moved on and improved still further!
