As you read through and look at the pictures,
we hope that you will find the information not only uplifting
but also informative and helpful. We have tried to offer a reflection
of the school as a family to which the children know they belong.
They are happy and know it is good to be at All Hallows. You
will see how they are encouraged to work hard and achieve their
personal best, whether it is in the classroom, on the sports
fields or through the myriad other opportunities they have for
their personal development and all-round growth. We try to meet
the needs of each child as an individual, each is supported and
encouraged by the other boys and girls and by a strong and very
committed staff.
All Hallows welcomes children from all Christian
families and from other faiths. We are a Christian school in
the Roman Catholic tradition. This means that our guiding stars
are the two great commandments to love God and our neighbour.
These are experienced throughout our daily life in the school,
in our structures, amidst our relationships and in our priorities.
These are also experienced in our life
of prayer centred on our chapel of All Saints. It is the heart
of the school and it is there that we recognise, reflect upon
and celebrate the values that make All Hallows what it is. It
is the focus for regular morning assemblies and a prayer before
bedtime, for the weekly celebration of Mass and the sacramental
life of the children. All are encouraged to take an active part
and be involved as much as they can be, with a proper respect
for the faith of each child.
The light and warmth that radiates from the
very ‘candle’ within each child illuminates our lives as staff.
In partnership with parents, we continue to do all that we can
to nurture the flame within each child and to draw out from every
individual, child or adult, this light and its colours.
It is not possible to share everything through
the pages of a website, nor will you be able to appreciate the
genuine warmth and sheer vibrancy of our school community. If
you would like to know more about All Hallows, please do not
hesitate to contact
us. If you have the time to come and see
us, we promise you the very warmest of welcomes.
